A soft sigh escaped the maw of what seemed to be a wolf. A chain was wrapped tightly around it's neck, so tightly that some parts of it were were embedded into its skin. The other end of the chain was tightly embedded into a steel pole and there wasn't much space between either ends. The wolf slowly threw back it's head and let out a long, high-pitched, sorrowful howl. At the sound of it loud footsteps were heard and two men with large guns ran up to the cage, knelt down on their knees and aimed at the wolf. The wolf ignored them. It's cage was so far underground that you had to kneel down or lay down just to see into the cage. The first man shouted, I'm warning you, monster, if you keep up that high-pitched sh.it I'm gonna shoot you until you bleed!. Then the second man chimed in, Yea, your gonna be bleeding until your half dead yo-- he was cut off as a man with white hair entered carrying a rather large sword. What're your boys yelling at? At this both of the men jumped to their feet and put their hands to their heads in the beginning of a salute. Sorry, sir, that mongrel was howling again, sir. They both said at the same time. So your going to shoot my project just because it's howling? Well let me tell you something, he replied calmly. Then he raised his voice a little, It's natural! Get over it or you can be imprisoned! he shouted at them both. They both nodded their heads. Now, scram! he shouted. At this they both ran to their posts.
The wolf smirked, 'Serves them right,' it thought mischievously. The man pressed a button and the cage rose so that it was at eye-level. Now, you better quit that howling, Sakura[Sock-er-a]. Your upsetting my workers. If you'd like I'll get you some company but you have to shut it. he snapped. He whistled and something flew in. It looked like a boy with bat wings, and cat hands and feet or something. Keep her company. he ordered and opened the door. But when he did she growled furiously as the being flew upon her backside. Get off me you twit! she yelled at it. Too bad, honey, your mine now. he screeched back. His sharp, hard claws clung to her sides and she whined. But her growl was still low and firm and she reached her head back, almost choking herself, many times to try and get him off. The man whistled once more and a black wolf demon with small black wings and red-tipped fur flew in. Chains covered his and about thirty men were each holding a chain. They forced him to fly to the man and the man climbed on him. He pressed the button for the cage to lower once more and the wolf strained herself to bark to the other wolf. He whined and barked back, almost strengthlessly pulling himself over to the many bars.
The man grabbed all the chains from the men and told them to take a break and meet him somewhere on horseback. Aqua light glowed from his lands and he dropped the chains. The wolf almost fell to the ground with the chains. Now, Keep Sake, we can do this the hard way or you can corporate and I can make this easy for you. he said to the wolf. The wolf sighed and flattened his ears to his crown. The man smirked and the chains glowed black for a moment. Then he tore the chains from the wolf and carefully placed them on the ground. More comfortable now the wolf took off. He flew into a wall, his body and the man's glowing the aqua color until they disappeared. The wolf flew out across a large forest, his energy draining in the hot sunlight. He started to sway and weaken. The man shot aqua-colored lightning from his hands and a black orb circled them. The wolf's sweat was drawn and the air that surrounded them was cold, sunlight free. The wolf still looked unhappy, maybe it was the coolness of the air? No, it was carrying the man. But he knew very well that the man could send the chains to them in under a second and he wouldn't have enough time to escape, plus he wanted to keep his strength up so he corporated.
After what seemed like days to the wolf and minutes to the man night approached and the man forced the wolf to live in the hot, waterless atmosphere for an hour or two. Let's name this man so we don't have the call him the man shall we? Well, he was dubbed, Aya when he was born but he hated it because it sounded of the female area. So he changed his name to: Ayako. Ayako landed atop a small wooden plaque and hopped down from the wolf. He sent steel reins and shoved them on the wolf and sent a connector to himself and connected the reins to one end and embedded the other end with a metal pole, that was beside the wooden plaque. The wolf scowled at him. The name's K-- the wolf was cut off as Ayako finished his sentence for him, incorrectly. Keep Sake. Keep Sake growled. You little-- once again Ayako cut him off. It's Ayako, not 'You Little'. Keep Sake growled again, but louder this time. Ayako transformed into a vampire looking creature. His eyes turned into vertical, rather big, red slits with smaller yellow slits in them. His hair grew a little, turned black and fell down. His clothes turned into a black tunic that revealed his top half. Scars covered parts of his body. Fangs and claws grew, but his right hand still had a cloth wrapped around it. That was the one thing that stayed.
Ayako smirked. Ssssssso, you want to fight do you, Keep Sssssssake... he stressed the words Keep Sake. Keep Sake growled loudly and savagely. A large metal muzzle appeared on his maw. Oh no you don't. he hissed. Keep Sake tugged on the reins, trying to leap off the plank and attack Ayako. Metal foot-holders appeared around his paws. Keep Sake shook his maw, trying to free himself of the cold, uncomfortable, metal muzzle. He threw back his head and jerked his head back but it would come off. The straps that muzzle's usually have appeared around his head, also steel. Keep Sake growled into it and tried to claw it but his paws refused to move. He looked down and kept jerking his head. Suddenly a bit came on the end of the reins and in his mouth. He tried to open his mouth to move the bit to a more comfortable position but he just ended up slamming his bottom jaw against the metal. At this a loud whine escaped his maw.
Finally he gave up and stood there. At this point there were steal casings around his wings and were stretching them just enough so that pain seared through him every time he moved, even when it was breathing. His tail was being pulled behind him and the front of his body was forced forward so that, just like his wings, pain seared through him every time he moved, even when it was breathing. He didn't even whine at this point, in fear that more pain would shoot through his body. Ayako turned back to his normal self. He was sweating like a hound dog that had just sprinted for five miles straight with no break. He gasped for breath, falling onto his hands and knees. Are you done yet, Keep Sake? Because I don't think I can take it if you aren't. he said in between breaths. After five minutes he had caught his breath and slowly released the wolf's tail, wings and paws. But he kept the muzzle, reins and bit on the wolf so that the wolf would still be permitted to move. He sighed softly and sat down on one end of the plank. He watched the wolf flatten his ears so he removed the muzzle and the bit and made the reins longer so that he could lay down. At once the wolf slouched to a laying position and closed his eyes.
'A small child ran through a dark, dense forest, crying. Tears streamed, uncontrollably, from his eyes. He slowed after a couple hours when he hear a faint noise. The faint noise became larger until he learned that it was a loud, sorrowful cry of a wolf. A wolf in need of help. He started to run towards the noise. But he stopped suddenly. Three different ways were shown, which way should he go? He didn't know. He started a minute afterwards, following his ears. After a minute the young child stopped. A whip cracked and a loud, sorrowful whine followed it. He was frozen in fear. He wanted to save the wolf but he didn't want to die, because it might be vicious after any treatment of that sort. Then he heard a low growl, then metal clanging together, and then another whip crack and another loud whine. He kept hearing the whip cracks, followed by a loud whine every time. He almost started to cry. The poor thing! He ran, but faster than he even knew that he could, faster than he ever had. He was heading for the noise when a white wolf was dashing to him. In her cloudy, ice blue eyes, sadness and hope flared. She ran right into him except he didn't feel something solid knock him down. He felt something like a soft, fluffy, cloud bursting into him and crying and begging for help. He hugged the wolfess and after a little bit fell asleep hugging her. Then he fell to his knees and she shoved him on her back gently. He fell asleep, the last thing he remembered was a feeling. A feeling like he was floating on the softess thing in the world.
Keep Sake cracked one eye open without moving. He looked around to find his reins gone, a big, juicy, live chicken in front of him. Ayako was no where to be seem. He nudged the chicken awake and grinned. When the chicken opened it's eyes it squawked and jumped up, running around like a pig, flapping it's wings furiously. Keep Sake waited until it was far away and then jumped off the plaque after it. It was more fun when it moved. His wings took flight and he soared over it's head. He barked and when the chicken looked up to see gleaming teeth coming down on it it sharply turned around and started squawking back. But Keep Sake was already way ahead of it, he had already turned, knowing that it would. As soon as the chicken stepped a foot from the wooden plaque Keep Sake dived down and grabbed it by the neck where it's head was in his mouth. He closed his teeth over it's neck until he heard it's bones break. He was going so fast that he had to swoop into the air high and slow his beat. His wings beat gusts of wind as he slowly beat his wings to lower himself. Then they began to beat quickly as he neared the plaque. He slowed the beat of his wings again when his paws touched the wood and landed smoothly. Then he sat down and devoured the chicken.
Suddenly a fire circled the wolf, closing in on it. It began to engulf the plaque, swallowing it up. But something odd happened. When the wolf took off into the air straight up(since there wasn't another way), the fire shot up into the air in a stream after him. He smirked for a second, then watched as the fire below swallowed up the plaque and turned it to ashes. The metal that was on his tail(he was born with it) clanked in rhythm to the fire. Keep Sake watched as the fire began to slow on it's eating process until it ceased. Then the fire below shot up to the fire above that was swaying to the rhythm of his tail. Both of the flames collided together. The first flame that had shot into the air screeched as the second slammed into it. The flames dispersed and the remains floated down to the soil. Keep Sake watched them in amusement. That's what I thought. he muttered. Then he added, Amateurs. He smirked and took flight again.
A tight grip locked itself around Keep Sake's neck so when he took flight he half-choked himself. He flew down a little so that he could breath and coughed. Blood shot from his mouth and he blinked his eyes a couple times. Raged fired up inside him and he turned around to see a man, looking like he was holding an invisible chain in his hands, pulling him in. Keep Sake almost darted toward the man to give out some of his hot fuel but his instincts told him different. This little wolf always followed his instincts, he never did the opposite. The rage fueled in more though, the temptation to fuel the man became larger and larger until Keep Sake could barely stop himself, when the man began tugging on the chain and pulling Keep Sake in. One part of him told himself to stop and ignore it while another, faint, part told him that if he fueled the man now and flew fast enough then he would be free of his magic. Keep Sake half went for the faint self and then jerked back, calling out in a raged tone that was sort of a half-calling sound. Immediately a demon flew up and cut the chain in flight and was gone. It happened so fast that it seemed as though the wind did it. Keep Sake roared in victory and shot off into the skies before the man could catch the end of the rope that hung from his neck and pull him back. He flew back to the place where he had first come when Ayako poofed himself on his back again. He rolled his eyes and flew back through the wall, landing in the same room that he had first left from. The men came up to him but he warned them that he was p.issed at the moment, telling them to back off. He flew to his chamber and fueled the button that brought him into darkness.
